China's Ping An Insurance for example has launched a campaign addressing rural poverty, establishing a fund that will help promote and subsidize grassroots initiatives.
People's Daily president Li Baoshan said the paper wanted to explore new methods of partnership between media, organizations and enterprises, in news production and promotion.
Online video platform Bilibili became the foundation's first donor, saying it wants to help promote mainstream media and participate in collaborative video production, especially with those spreading positive energy.
