Two generations teach in Ningxia

Between the 1950s and 1970s, he spent more than 1,000 yuan of his own money on students' stationary and medical bills. It was a big expenditure, considering that he earned 41.5 yuan per month and had to raise a family of eight.

Ma Jinqiang became a teacher like his father. In his opinion, his father's generation laid the foundation for education in Ningxia.
