Chinese and foreign students who submitted winning entries in a postcard-design contest were recognized at an awards ceremony in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, on Friday.
The contest - I am a Messenger of Chinese and Foreign Cultural Exchange in Guangzhou - called on Chinese students to design postcards showing the world in their eyes and foreign students to depict the city of Guangzhou, which is Guangdong's provincial capital.
The contest attracted 1,244 hand-painted postcards by students from 129 schools in Guangzhou, including students from 41 foreign countries. Thirty-six designs from Chinese students and 36 from foreign students will be made into postcards.
