Beijing to hold internet conference aimed at cybersecurity
A national internet conference held annually to improve cooperation between governments and internet corporations and to enhance public awareness against cyberattacks will kick off in Beijing next week, Chinaernet corporations and to enhance id on Thursday.
The conference, organized by the National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team and Coordination Center, will hit the capital from Aug 14 to 16. Participants will hear lectures or attend forums on eight hot cybersecurity issues, such as security in the areas of artificial intelligence and data.
The organization will invite government officials responsible for network affairs, technicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and cybersecurity experts from home and abroad to share more ideas about cyberspace with the public, a statement of the center said.
In addition, conference attendees will also see a network technology competition and new products or services to protect against cyberattacks.
The center began organizing the network conference in 2004, aiming to increase communications among internet companies, governments and experts, as well as to have more residents pay more attention to cybersecurity issues.
