China, Russia to hold joint naval exercise this year

BEIJING - China and Russia plan to hold a joint naval exercise in waters near the eastern Chinese city of Qingdao this year, Wu Qian, spokesperson for China's Defense Ministry, said Thursday.
The exact time, location and participating forces of the joint exercise are being discussed by Chinese and Russian military experts in their second round of consultation in Russia, Wu told a press conference.
