China will continue to push forward strategic reorganization and mixed ownership reform of central SOEs this year, said the head of the country's SOE regulator on Saturday.
"The strategic reorganization will first focus on reorganization at the group level. It also will focus on specialization-oriented reorganization because currently many SOEs' specialties overlap with each other and have low efficiency," said Xiao Yaqing, head of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, at a press conference.
"We also will pay attention to SOEs that have been reorganized and hope to see the reorganization bear greater fruits, because of not only physical reaction but also chemical reaction," Xiao added.
