Xi's visits before Chinese New Year

Xi visited the Yuangudui village in Weiyuan county, Gansu province, on Feb 3, 2013, and talked with villagers at the elderly Party member Ma Gang's home.

"The Party and the government will surely give you more support and help. Let's work hard together to make your life better and lift you out of poverty," Xi said.

Xi said central authorities attach high importance to poverty alleviation and the development of areas inhabited by ethnic minorities, assuring greater government support to help local people get out of poverty.
