Xiongan starts new training program

Xiongan New Area in North China’s Hebei province started a new round of training programs this year to prepare local residents to better live and work in the new area.
According to Xiongan’s official WeChat account, this year the area will train 100,000 residents to help them get various skills.
It will also help 100,000 residents find jobs, train at least 1,000 new entrepreneurs, encourage at least 1,000 young people to study at quality vocational schools and promote companies that have settled down in Xiongan to recruit at least 1,000 university graduates of the area.
The year-long program started Saturday, when 30 residents participated in training for service etiquette.
They were chosen according to their good performance during previous training programs.
The government of Xiongan brought in training agencies in June to prepare residents for skills in a diverse range of fields, from lawyers to tea-makers.
Through the end of last year, about 10,000 residents were trained.
