Entertainment expo debuts in Beijing
Organized by the China Culture and Entertainment Industry Association, the first expo of its kind gathered together nearly 200 enterprises, such as Super Player, Tencent Games and NetEase Games, at the China International Exhibition Center.
The expo featured seven main themes, including a virtual reality/augmented reality fair, esports and mobile games, amusement devices and digital entertainment.
Most of the products were designed to be used in shopping malls, kindergartens, theme parks and science and technology museums.
Visitors enjoyed trying out VR facilities and 4D virtual travel simulators, as well as singing in the self-service karaoke booths and playing with doll-catching machines.
Among the exhibitors, Light Magic Technologies Ltd showed off new technology in the fields of superfast 3D object scanning, high-resolution graphics rendering and holographic volumetric projection.
According to Liu Jianwen, executive assistant of the company, the technologies will have practical applications in the retail, education and games industries.
Liu Jinhua, director of the China Culture and Entertainment Industry Association, said the expo’s debut in Beijing was a success.
“The expo aims to serve as a platform for displaying new cultural and entertainment products and fueling exchanges among enterprises in the industry,” Liu said.
