China's Hong Kong to issue special stamps featuring bamboo carvings

HONG KONG -- China's Hongkong Post announced Monday the issue of a set of special stamps featuring bamboo carving artifacts collected by a local museum.
The stamps, themed "Hong Kong Museums Collection - Bamboo Carvings", feature six bamboo carvings from the collection of the Hong Kong Museum of Art.
To accentuate the exquisite craftsmanship of each masterpiece, embossing and debossing have been employed in the printing of this set of stamps, producing "a strong three-dimensional effect," Hongkong Post said in a press release.
The special stamps, together with associated philatelic products, will go on sale on Nov 14.
It is the fifth set in the "Hong Kong Museums Collection" series since 2009.
