State Council appoints, removes officials

BEIJING -- The State Council, China's cabinet, announced the appointment and removal of several senior officials Saturday.

Ling Ji was named vice minister of supervision, replacing Xiao Pei.

Yu Chunsheng was appointed deputy head of the State Administration of Taxation.

Wu Qinghai was removed from the post of deputy head of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
