Chinese contemporary art will debut at the upcoming Curitiba Biennial, held from Sept 30 to Feb 25 in Curitiba, in southern Brazil.
As the country of honor at this year's edition, China will present three exhibitions showcasing both established and up-and-coming artists, as well as architects.
An exhibition, curated by Fang Zhenning and Liu Chunfeng, will review the development of Chinese contemporary art over the past three decades. It will be held at the Oscar Niemeyer Museum, named after the well-known Brazilian architect.
On display will be paintings, sculptures, installations, photos and mixed media works, demonstrating the explorations of 38 artists.
