An exhibition of Russian oil paintings was held at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing on April 13.
Museum director Wu Weishan said 100 oil paintings, mostly from the 20th century, were selected for the Reception for Voice of the Volga River exhibition.
The paintings reflect the attitudes of Russian oil painters towards nature and personal characters.
Andrey Denisov, Russian Ambassador to China, said the exhibition is a new form of cooperation between the embassy and National Art Museum of China.
"I'm sure such cooperation will boost the development of cultural exchanges between us," he said.
