China beat Singapore 5-0 at the Snooker World Cup
WUXI, China - Top seeds of the Snooker World Cup Ding Junhui and Xiao Guodong edged Singapore 5-0 in the match day 2 here on Tuesday.
It took Ding and Xiao less than 2 hours to snatch the victory. Xiao achieved a break of 81 points in the first frame, Ding got a consecutive 74 points in the second frame, adding winning over Marvin Lim Chun Kiatt and KK Chan in the third, China locked the win with two frames remaining.
After Ding edging Chan 77-35 in the 4th frame, Xiao met some resistance in the frame against Lim Chun Kiatt. Lim' s cue ball fell into a pocket when he had tried to reverse in the middle frame, he gave up the game when falling behind 22-85.
China A team was still unbeaten in the group stage, while Austria will be their next opponents.
