| Fu Wentao, a delegate of the 18th CPC National Congress, prepares his speech on Nov 8, 2012. Fu, 30, piloted Jiaolong, China's deep-sea research submersible, to a record depth of 7,062 meters below sea level on June 27, 2012. Born in Yueyang county, Hunan province, it took him just six years to become qualified in underwater research after graduating from college.
