Grand gathering marks CPC's 90th birthday
BEIJING - A grand gathering marking the 90th anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) is being held at the Great Hall of the People in downtown Beijing Friday morning.
Hu Jintao, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, is delivering a keynote speech at the rally.
Outstanding CPC grassroots units, members and Party workers will be commended at the gathering.
The China Central Television (CCTV) will broadcast the event via its Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish channels.
Xinhua News Agency will cover the event in seven languages including Chinese, English, French, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese and Arabic.
The China National Radio, the China Radio International and major news portals including people.com.cn, xinhuanet.com and cntv.cn will also cover the event.
