March 11, 1988: The China Disabled Persons' Federation is established

On March 11-15, 1988, the China Disabled Persons' Federation held its first national congress in Beijing and announced the establishment of the China Disabled Persons' Federation.
The Party and the government later adopted a series of measures to help the disabled. Deng Pufang was elected president of the China Disabled Persons' Federation and chairman of the executive board.
