LUSAKA -- Visiting International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Jacques Rogge said here Wednesday he was satisfied with the preparation work by the Chinese government towards the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

Rogge told Xinhua that he was happy with the efforts made by the Chinese government in the preparation work and believed that the event would be a "great success".

He said the Chinese sports delegation were "formidable" and jokingly said he hoped China would leave more medals to players of other countries.

Zambia is the last leg of Rogge's four-nation tour to Africa. He has already visited South Africa, Lesotho and Namibia.
