More than 60 veterans of the "Flying tigers" attended a ceremony in Kunming, Yunnan province commemorating the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II and the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.

The American Volunteer Group, dubbed the "Flying tigers" by the Chinese for their courage, was formed in 1941 under the leadership of US General Claire Lee Chennault to help China drive the Japanese from the skies.
