SEOUL- South Korea's tightrope walking, martial art taekkyon and weaving of fine ramie in the Hansan region have been recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as elements of Intangible Cultural Heritage, the Cultural Heritage Administration in South Korea said Monday.

The administration announced that the global body selected the three South Korean cultural traditions to be added to its list of Intangible Cultural Heritage during a meeting in Bali, Indonesia.

With the latest additions, South Korea now has a total of 14 cultural assets recorded on the UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

South Korea had promoted six cultural traditions for UNESCO registration at the Bali meeting on November 22-29.
