KABUL - A third blast was heard in Afghan capital Kabul and the gun battle continues on Tuesday, an official said.

"The incidents happened in Char Rahi Abdul Haq area which is close to the U.S. embassy and NATO-led ISAF headquarters," the official told Xinhua but declined to give his name, saying authorized officials would brief the media.

Police have cordoned off the area and the gun battle continues, he added.
