33 killed in flood in northern Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - At least 33 people were killed when a flash flood hit a valley with many villages lining on both sides in Pakistan's northern district of Kohistan Thursday morning, reported local Urdu TV channel Duniya.
Dozens of houses were also destroyed by the flood which was triggered off by heavy rains overnight in the area, said the report. Rescue helicopters have been called in to save the affected people in the valley.
