13 killed in landslide in Nepal

KATHMANDU - At least 13 persons were killed after a landslide buried two houses in a village of Rukum district in mid-western Nepal early Friday morning.

According to THT Online report, a team of police from district police office has been dispatched to the incident site for rescue operation, said Kishan Singh Thapa, Police Chief at Rukum Police Office. However, a team of police from the local police office is trying hard to dig the bodies out. The incident site is a four hour walk from the headquarters Khalanga.

Around three dozens of houses in Purtimakada village are in danger of landslide.
