Moderate quake hits Indonesia's North Sulawesi

JAKARTA: A moderate earthquake measuring 5. 1 on the Richter scale hit the eastern part of Indonesia at North Sulawesi province on Monday, Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency said.

The earthquake was occurred at 19:26 Jakarta time (1226 GMT) in 126 km of eastern Bitung and 145 km of southeastern Manado, the provincial capital city of North Sulawesi at depth of 10 km under the seabed.

The agency did not issue tsunami warning.
