Moderate quake rocks North Maluku, Indonesia

JAKARTA: An earthuake 0f 5.3-magnitude struck North Maluku province in eastern Indonesia Saturday morning, the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency said.

The quake jolted after midnight with the epicenter 185 km northeast of Ternate of the province and 196 km in depth, the agency said. But no reports availabe about casulaties or damage.

Indonesaia sits on quake-prone called the "Pacific Ring of Fire."
