KERBALA, Iraq: A series of roadside bombs in the southern Iraqi province of Babel killed at least four people and injured 57, police said, a day after giant truck bombs rocked government buildings in Baghdad.

Police said the bombs exploded in markets in small towns near the holy Shi'ite city of Kerbala, which lies around 80 km (50 miles) southwest of Baghdad.
