Eight female students, one male student, and one male staff member were killed when student Matti Saari opened fire on fellow students in a classroom at the vocational school in Kauhajoki. Saari died later after he shot himself.

NBI officers are also examining Saari's computer. The biggest question in the investigation is the motive of the assailant, the Finnish public broadcaster YLE said in a report.
