Updated: 2008-09-04 17:25 LONDON - British police say an officer has been suspended after she left a loaded pistol in the toilet of a Starbucks cafe. The Sun newspaper says the detective is a bodyguard to former Prime Minister Tony Blair.
The Sun reported Thursday that the Glock 17 lay on the toilet floor in a Starbucks near Blair's London home for 20 minutes before it was found by a member of staff, who called police. Only a small minority of British police officers are authorized to carry guns. |
