The two sides will hold the 8th South Korea-Israel Joint Defense Industry Cooperation Committee meeting from Monday through Wednesday in Seoul and seek new areas in which they can cooperate to develop their defense technology and industry, the DAPA said in a press release.

Israel still remains one of the key defense exporters to South Korea, so South Korea is trying to see if there are areas in which the two sides can join efforts in research and development of new systems, said a DAPA official.

Israel's six-member delegation will pay courtesy calls on the country's vice defense minister and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and visit research centers of the Korea Aerospace Industries Ltd. and Doosan Infracore, one of the largest defense manufacturers here, before returning home on Wednesday, local media reported.
