Bush to visit South Korea this summer

WASHINGTON -- U.S. President George W. Bush will visit South Korea this summer, visiting South Korean President Lee Myung-bak said Saturday.

"I invited President Bush and Mrs. Laura Bush to visit Korea this summer. And I'm pleased to note that President Bush agreed and readily accepted to come to Korea with Mrs. Bush," Lee said at a joint press conference after their talks at Camp David, Maryland.
Bush invited Lee to the presidential retreat Camp David for talks on Friday and Saturday. Lee became the first South Korean leader ever welcomed to Camp David.
South Korea has been a strong U.S. ally in East Asia.
