STOCKHOLM - A young gunman shot one man dead and injured another on Friday in a street of Gothenburg, the second largest city in Sweden, local media reported.

The shooter, aged between 20 to 25, shot at two men in their 30's in the street and escaped quickly, police said.

The victims had been rushed to the hospital. One of them succumbed to  bullets wounds on his chest and back.

After receiving reports from the witnesses, the police dispatched cars and helicopters to the scene but failed to capture any suspect. The investigation is still underway.
