In this undated photo released by Karori Wildlife Sanctuary, Maud Island frog is seen at the Karori Wildlife Sanctuary in the capital of Wellington New Zealand. 13 Rare and threatened finger nail-sized Maud Island froglets normally only found on two islands in the Malborough Sounds region at the northern tip of New Zealand's South Island, were discovered clutching to the backs of full-grown male frogs. Maud Island frogs do not croak, live in water or have webbed feet. Their eggs are laid under rocks or logs and the male sits over the eggs until they hatch as well formed, tailed froglets.
