ISLAMABAD - Pakistan on Tuesday successfully test-fired a cruise missile, the state-run PTV reported.

The missile is called Babar hatf-VII and has a range of 700 km, said the report.

President Pervez Musharraf and caretaker Prime Minister Mohammad Mian Soomro congratulated scientists and engineers on the successful missile test.
