It was the 30-year-old's first World Cup victory since December 2012, when she shared the top spot with Coline Mattel, and only the second time teenager Takanashi has failed to win this season.

Yet Iraschko-Stolz was in fine form, leaping to a second-round jump of 102.5m as she stormed to the win with 261.5 points.

Japan’s Takanashi still managed to secure second place however, her 249.3 points narrowly beating out Carina Vogt in third place.

A victory still eludes Vogt but the German has found the podium in seven out of the ten individual events this season.

She comfortably eclipsed Slovenian home favourite Ursa Bogataj, who finished in an impressive fourth place with a total of 238.7.
