Notes
*The Beijing Ducks continued their blazing start to the season by racking up their seventh straight win against Shanxi Brave Dragons on Sunday, 121-97. This marks their second best opening. In the 1995-96 season they won eight in a row. Former NBA all-star guard Stephon Marbury chipped in with 19 points, five rebounds and four assists. Randolph Morris finished with 26 points and seven rebounds.
* The Dongguan Leopards bounced back onto the right track by winning their third consecutive game away against Shangdong Sharks, 100-94, after four defeats to start the new season. Forward Ronald Randolph finished with 33 points and 19 rebounds.
* The Bayi Rockets' veteran, Wang Zhizhi, surprised the audience by appearing in the final period of the game against Jiangsu Dragons on Sunday. The Rockets narrowly won 99-97 thanks to Wang's decisive two points before the final whistle. Wang, who was the first Chinese to play in NBA, tore his plantar fascia in the third-round game against Xinjiang, and was supposed to be sidelined for a month. Instead, the 34-year-old, with his valuable experience, only rested for eight days and played a crucial role in the last minute of the game.
