Yu Yang, 27, faced one count of offering an advantage to an agent. He will be brought to the Kowloon City Magistracy tomorrow for plea.

Yu was alleged of offering an unspecified sum to a football player of a football club as a reward for his assistance in fixing a match, organized by the Hong Kong Football Association, on October 3, 2009.

The four other footballers, arrested in the ICAC operation will be released on ICAC bail later tonight, pending further inquiries.

The Hong Kong Football Association gave no responses to the arrests, saying the case at this stage lacked full details like matches, teams and individuals involved.
