Spurs caught in Suns glare as Phoenix rises for a 2-0 lead

PHOENIX - The Phoenix Suns seized control of their Western Conference semi-final against the San Antonio Spurs with a 110-102 victory on Wednesday, moving into a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.

The Spurs had led 80-78 early in the fourth quarter before the Suns pulled away from the visitors with a 10-3 run that was capped by Channing Frye's fifth three-pointer of the night.

The Suns secured the victory on the back of a balanced attack that featured six players scoring in double digits, led by Amare Stoudamire's 23 points and 11 rebounds.

Guards Steve Nash and Jason Richardson scored 19 points each, and Grant Hill added 18. Off the bench, Frye had 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting from three-point range and Jared Dudley added 11.

Tim Duncan led the Spurs with 29 points and 10 rebounds and Tony Parker scored 20 points off the bench.
