Shanghai Pudong International Airport served 16 percent more passengers than the same period a year earlier in this November, according to Shanghai International Airport Co. Ltd. on Dec 18th.

A total of 4.34 million passengers traveled through the airport, a year-on-year growth of 16 percent. And the airport registered a year-on-year growth of 20.4 percent in domestic passenger volume and 12.5 percent in international passenger volume in November. The number of regional passengers increased 9.3 percent compared with the same period last year.

Aircraft takeoffs and landings amounted 34,878, a year-on-year growth of 12.8 percent. Domestic movements surged 15.5 percent year on year, with international and regional movements rising 9.3 percent and 10.4 percent, respectively.

In regards to the cargo traffic, it rose 8.4 percent to 301,000 tonnes, among which 224,800 tonnes were carried on international flights.
