  • Beijing's administrative subdivisions

    2012-12-27Beijing Municipality currently comprises 16 administrative subdivisions including 14 urban and suburban districts and two rural counties.

  • Dongcheng district

    2012-12-08The renowned commercial streets, suchas Wangfujing and Dongsi and Beijing Railway Station are located here.

  • Xicheng district

    2012-12-08Xicheng district covers an area of 30 square kilometers, which is divided into 10 neighborhood committees with a population of about 750,000.

  • Chaoyang district

    2012-12-08Chaoyang district is the largest and most modern urban district, and is regarded as a window of international exchanges.

  • Haidian district

    2012-12-08It is famous for its high-tech industry and institutions of higher learning.

  • Fengtai district

    2012-12-08Fengtai district is famous as the "kingdom of vegetables production" and "township of flowers."

  • Shijingshan district

    2012-12-08As one of Beijing's industrial districts, it is rich in water resources, such as the Yongding River.

  • Tongzhou district

    2012-12-08Tongzhou district has been the eastern gateway and communications hub of Beijing, which has become the biggest satellite city in the region.

  • Shunyi district

    2012-12-08Within its boundary is the plain of verdant fields known as the "Granary of the Capital."

  • Changping district

    2012-12-08About 34 kilometers from the city center, Changping is renowned for its numerous scenic spots and tourist facilities.
