Two villages in Sanmenxia receive national honor

Two villages in the city of Sanmenxia along with 803 other villages won the title of National Democratic Law-ruled Demonstration Village for their improvement of democracy and rule of law, according to a decision recently released by the Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Civil Affairs.

Aiming at extending grassroots democracy and strengthening legal construction, Anjiadi village of Lingbao took various measures to enhance education and raise awareness among its residents. Moreover, the village set up a police station and a recreation center for the elderly to ensure public safety and order and enrich the villagers' lives. The village has been granted a number of honorary titles by the government.

Having carried out different kinds of democratic law-ruled activities, Jiannan community in Hubin district has achieved a stable law-and-order situation and been recognized as a National Harmonious Community.
