Representatives from ten Israeli enterprises including Infinity Group and Kardan Water International Group gathered in Chengdu to attend the Chengdu-Israel Business Forum. The Israeli foreign minister, Avigdor Lieberman, addressed the forum.

Israel, as a country with advanced science and technology, owns many NASDAQ listed enterprises. Using the forum as an opportunity, some Israeli enterprises expressed their intention to develop businesses in Chengdu.

Lieberman said that Chendu has a huge potential for growth and a number of Israeli enterprises have already developed business here.

"We have a strong desire to make investments in Chengdu and hope this forum will further promote cooperation in a wide range of areas," said Lieberman.

A cooperative framework agreement on the establishment of an intellectual property platform was signed at the forum.

Under the terms of the agreement, the Chengdu Science and Technology Bureau will join hands with the Infinity Group to set up a local intellectual property bank.

The agreement also includes further cooperation in emerging industries, including modern agriculture, new energy, clean technology and the Internet of things. The exploration of innovative practices for cooperation in high-tech research and development, and international technology transfers will be addressed as well.
