The 2012 West China Advertising, Printing and Packaging Exhibition was held in Chengdu on Mar 5.

Over 600 companies from various sectors such as advertising equipments and materials, light emitting diode (LED), printing, packaging and papermaking, including Seoul Semiconductor and Sunfor Inc, attended the exhibition.

An industry insider said, with the coastal LED manufacturers gradually moving to China's inland, Chengdu has become the center of the LED industry in the nation.

Sunfor's chief engineer Luo Zhengwen said, "The subway tunnel lights, LEDs, sign systems and noctilucence signposts in many Chinese cities, including the Chengdu subway line 1, are made in Chengdu. The LED listing is popular in today’s domestic capital market. Sunfor is the leading LED enterprise in Chengdu with over 300 million yuan ($47.53 million) in revenue last year. It is seeking opportunities to land an A-share market".
