ChinaSoft 2012 held in Chengdu

The China International Software Corporation Conference 2012 (ChinaSoft 2012) opened in Chengdu on Feb 21. For the tenth year, the conference was hosted by the MIIT, State Intellectual Property Office of China, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the Sichuan Provincial Government.

Chengdu was given the title of "Renowned Software City in China" at the conference. It is the first city in West China to be awarded this title.

As many as 3,500 domestic and overseas delegates from 900 enterprise, research institutes and organizations including Microsoft, Intel, IBM, Cisco, Neusoft, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering attended the conference.

The ChinaSoft 2012 had the theme of “Software creates value, application serves people” to highlight the combination and support of software technology to society and economics. It is expected to carry out exchanges and cooperation in fields of intelligent city, three networks merger, interaction of information and industrialization, service outsourcing, IOT, cloud computing and new generation internet.

As Midwest China's gathering zone of IT industries and as the national software industry base, Chengdu has always placed emphasis on the development of its software industry. The ChinaSoft 2012 is an opportunity for Chengdu to exchange and cooperate with international software industries.
