The first China-ASEAN Auto, Engineering Mechanics and Parts Expo was concluded successfully

On Dec 10, the first China-Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) Auto, Engineering Mechanic and Car Parts Expo successfully concluded in Liuzhou.

The three-day Expo gathered China’s and ASEAN’s enterprises and engaged in car-producing, engineering mechanics, and car parts manufacturing. It served as a platform for enterprises to seek commercial opportunities and many great achievements were made.

The Expo had 400 indoor booths, a 4,000 square meters outdoor exhibition area and a 6,000 square meters indoor exhibition area. Roughly 263 enterprises from both 24 domestic provinces and three ASEAN countries participated in the Expo.

At the Expo, passenger cars, commercial vehicles, special vehicles and new energy vehicles were exhibited. There was also the exhibition of engineering machines such as loaders, excavators and more.

The expo attracted 140,000 visitors from home and abroad. Foreign businessmen from Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and South Korea also attended the Expo.

Ministerial level officials from China and ASEAN countries attended the Expo. Famous CEOs, executives and well-known scholars also came out.

The Expo exerts the following effects:

First, the Expo furthers the commerce and trade links between China and ASEAN, which is beneficial to the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA). The aggregate volume of the transaction has reached $ 376 million since Dec 10.

Secondly, the Expo also expands bilateral relations and deepens understanding and mutual trust between China and ASEAN. As a practical platform for the auto industry, the Expo provides more business opportunities for enterprises. Thirdly, the event also promotes communication and cooperation between Liuzhou and ASEAN countries.

The Expo was very successful and contributed to the joint economic development between China and ASEAN.
