Debate alerts corruption prevention

The Chengdu High-tech Zone in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province, held a debate competition to promote awareness of corruption prevention on Thursday.

The competition which was final proceeded in two steps.

Firstly, a debate was held with the topic “Which is more important, preventing corruption or punishing corruption” to decide the runners-up.

Secondly, it was a debate with the topic “Which is more important in corruption fight, education or the system” to decide the two top winners.

A total of 20 teams with about 120 debaters from the zone participated in the competition, drawing an audience of nearly 2,000.
