Plenty of activities will take place during the 2011 China Liuzhou International Water Carnival. Among them, the ASEAN Fashion Show and the Grand Carnival Parade.
It is reported that about a hundred models will take on the catwalk in the latest trends by six well known Asian designers. The fashion show won’t disappoint under the eyes of Wang Hongmin, the famous fashion director.
More than 20 models expected to strut on the catwalk will be competition winners from home and abroad.
The six fashion designers featuring at the show are: Bo Tao, a famous designer from Mainland, DorianHo, the founder of an exclusive clothing brand in Hong Kong, Pan Yiliang, a famous designer from Taiwan, Bo Shen, a renowned designer from Malaysia, MINHHANH, a senior designer from Vietnam, and Teerachantaswat, a senior designer from Thailand.
The show will be held according to international standards, from the building of the T-shaped stage, to the choreography, to the selection of models.
The show’s designers have taken the latest ideas from Paris and Milan in building the stage, setting the show by the Liu Jiang River in Panlong Park, with the Panlong Mountain as its blackguard. A water, mountain, rectangular light columns and a rectangle LED screen that can transform the setting into a bustling modern city, creates an interesting visual effect.
The 40-meter-long T-stage extends to an S-shape at the foot of the Panlong Mountain to the audience platform, from which audience members can watch the catwalk and the models from close range.
The audience can also watch the water picture show on the LED screen and enjoy the Dong minority song and the Miao minority dance.
In the Grand Carnival Parade, actors and actresses from 56 nations will present their performance in their national dress holding their unique musical instruments. Guests also have the opportunity to interact with the performers after the show.
According to the Organizing Committee, young people of all nationalities are still able to register to participate in the parade.
