WatchGuard settles R&D center in Chengdu High-tech

CHENGDU - The fifth R&D center of the WatchGuard Technologies has started operation in the Tianfu Software Park in the Chengdu High-tech Zone in this capital of Sichuan.
With its headquarters in Seattle, the United States, WatchGuard Technologies is a pioneer in network security appliances and a provider of Internet security solutions for small to mid-sized businesses worldwide.
CEO of WatchGuard Technologies Joe Wang attended the opening ceremony of the center on Tuesday and said that the rich human resources of Chengdu were a major attraction to the company in settling its R&D center in the city.
WatchGuard's R&D center in Chengdu will be engaged in testing the reliability, security and applicability of solutions and appliances provided by the company to its users around the world.
Wang said that WatchGuard had an ambitious plan in the Chinese market, and western China would be the focus of its expansion.
