Chengdu firm honored for providing energy-saving service

CHENGDU: The Galway Energy Technology Co., Ltd in this capital of Southwest China's Sichuan province has won the laureate of "Energy-Saving Service Provider" from the China Calcium Carbide Industry Association.
Accrording to Wang Wei, an information officer with the Chengdu High-tech Zone where the firm is located, Galway's clients are mainly in the energy-consuming metallurgical and petrochemical sectors.
In the past two years Galway has signed contracts with a dozen firms in Guzhou, Shandong and Gansu provinces, Inner Mongolia and the Xinjjiang Uygur autonomous region, providing them with equipment which can save electricity by 5 to 10 percent, Wang said.
Previously, Galway has been honored by the Ministry of Finance and the State Development and Reform Commission for its energy-saving service, he said.
