Philanthropic culture needed

China needs a better philanthropic culture. It is a growing economy and its progress has been excellent, but it's sad to see that there are a lot of rich guys in the country who care for nobody outside their family. The US, like other countries, has a problem with charity, but that does not mean China, too, should suffer from it.

The rich-poor gap poses a great threat to China's stability. A person traveling around the country, instead of just staying in top-tier cities, would realize this easily.

China needs far more robust wealth distribution, starting with better tax enforcement, stronger auditing of rich people's accounts and better insight of local officials. It wouldn't hurt to have the government spend some of those mountains of cash it has accumulated, either.
