Pu'er Zuxiang High Mountainous Tea Company, a local tea production company in Pu'er, has put a greater emphasis on ecology in the day-to-day running of the business in recent years.

Zuxiang has led the way in the industry by using organic fertilizer instead of chemical fertilizer, a move that has been widely praised by customers.

Zuxiang has its own tea garden, which had undergone ecological reconstruction work. Some 200 hectares of the garden has received the organic certificate of China, Europe, America and Japan, while another 667 hectares of the tea garden is applying for the certificate.

Statistics show that, 90 percent of the company's organic tea products have been sold to different countries and regions around the world. In 2014, the company's foreign currency earnings reached 71.40 million yuan ($11.26 million).
